Tom Felton Returns as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Tom Felton is set to return to the stage as Draco Malfoy in the Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, starting November 11, 2025. This marks his first visit to the Lyric Theatre, captured in a recent video. Felton's engagement will span 26 weeks, concluding on May 10, 2026. This performance is notable as it will be the first instance of a cast member from the original Harry Potter films appearing in the stage adaptation, which has been performed for seven years.
The play, written by Jack Thorne based on an original story from J.K. Rowling, continues the narrative 19 years after the original series, showcasing Draco as a father alongside Harry, Ron, and Hermione, who are now sending their children off to Hogwarts. Since its debut, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has achieved remarkable success, selling over 11 million tickets globally and currently being staged in major cities including London and New York. A new Dutch-language production is also set to launch in the Netherlands in 2026.
